The one day workshop is held in association with INFOFISH World Tuna Congress in Bangkok and will focus on Vessel Day Schemes (VDS) - a new framework for fishing rights within a country's EEZ. The first VDS has been implemented in Papua New Guinea and other jurisdictions are planning to implement similar schemes. The impact on the Tuna industry will be significant. Our event focuses on the policy and technology of Vessel Day Schemes. In addition we will also be looking at Fish Aggregating Devices - the technology and issues relating to the development of new regulation being considered by RFMOs.
