This two day international event in New Delhi will provide a forum for effective exchange, networking and dissemination of information of ideas in VMS across the region. Senior regulators, politicians and international experts will give practical advice and highlight case studies on current and upcoming challenges in VMS

In particular this conference will address the role played by VMS in developing country settings. Whilst developing countries up-take of VMS technology remains limited at present, their participation in international gatherings and discussions on MCS and VMS is gathering pace. While recognising that the fisheries sector in the developing world, on average, is less technological advanced there are fleet segments and certain fisheries where vessels are of high technological standards.

The conference will be a focus for data sharing between various stakeholders and will be attended by decision makers from across the region.
