Satellite Service Provision; Markets and Opportunities; Regulatory Issues; Broadband Multimedia Services; DVB and Video Distribution via Satellite; Internet services over DVB; Multicast Internet services via Satellite; Multimedia Meshed Networking using VSATs; Satellite Digital Broadcasting; Inmarsat and Mobile satellite Systems.

Day 2 : Techniques and Implementation

VSAT implementation issues; Antennas for VSAT Systems; VSAT Terminal Design considerations; Satellite Engineering; TCP/IP over Satellite; Medium Access Control.

Case Studies and Analysis

VSAT Performance Enhancements; Operational support systems for VSATs; Practical VSAT Operations; NMS for Global Networks; Procurement of Global VSAT Networks.
